BURLINGTON, North Carolina – Alan Martin, a North Carolina man, has used Olive Garden’s never ending pasta pass 95 times in six weeks.
He has become quite the local celebrity in Burlington.
He’s one of the 1,000 people in the country to buy Olive Garden’s never ending pasta bowl pass.
“I can’t believe I get to eat like this every day. This is great!”
The church minister and father of two loves a good deal, so he knew shelling out $100 for a never ending pasta bowl pass would quickly pay for itself.
Especially since his plan was use his pasta pass every day, twice a day, for the whole seven weeks of the promotion.
“He’s got his money’s worth, absolutely,” said Chris Lambert, Olive Garden General Manager.
Lambert says never ending pasta bowl meals usually cost $9.99.
So far, martin has had 95 of them.
He knows because he’s saved all the receipts.
“I would love to be the person that ate the most of the 1000 people. You know, that would be a good contest to win,” said Martin. “Because that means I got the most value out of the card than anybody did in the United States.”
Martin believes he has saved well over a $1,000, and he hasn’t gained any weight.
He isn’t even sick of eating pasta.
“Give me seven more days, and I’ll be ready maybe for a big burger, pizza, I don’t know.”
The promotion ends Sunday, and martin wants to go out with a bang.
He also wants to go to the five Olive Gardens on that last day.
