Police arrest two students for threats to Andale Middle School

ANDALE, Kansas – The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Andale Middle School Monday in reference to an alleged threat written on a bathroom wall.

While investigating the initial threat, detectives were contacted about a second threat that occurred Tuesday in the cafeteria.

It was alleged two students were making hand gestures towards other students. Several students reported the incident.

Detectives arrested two students, ages 12 and 13, for criminal threats and transported the juveniles to the Juvenile Intake Assessment Center.

Detectives will present their case to the DA’s office for charges.  The sheriff’s office is still working closely with the school administration to ensure the safety of the students and staff of Andale Middle School. Additional deputies will be in the Andale area.
