WASHINGTON (NBC News) – The speeches are done, the issues have been debated and candidates have shaken every hand they can find.
36 Senate U.S. seats will be decided, and eight are too close to call.
Republicans need six seats to win control of the Senate, but it could be a while before we know which way the votes will fall; Georgia and Louisiana could end up in runoffs.
All 435 House seats are up for grabs as well.
