WICHITA, Kansas – Raudel Sandoval Jr. was sentenced to 24 months in prison in the traffic death of a 6-year-old girl.
Sandoval, 20 of Wichita, pleaded guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter in the June 26, 2012 death of Feodora Two-Hatchett.
The child was in a car seat in the back of her mother’s car when it was struck by a car driven by Sandoval at Mt. Vernon and Edgemoor in Wichita.
The girl died at the scene. Feodora’s mother and a sibling were injured.
Sandoval was driving more than 70 miles an hour in a 35-mile an hour speed zone in an attempt to dry his car after leaving a car wash.
District Court Judge Stephen Ternes handed down the two year sentence.
