MTV turning horror movie series into TV

NEW YORK (AP) — With Halloween imminent, MTV is ready to “Scream.”

The network announced Tuesday that it is turning the horror movie franchise into a television series. The goal is to put 10 episodes on the air starting next October.

Jill Blotevogel, who worked on the series “Harper’s Island” and “Ravenswood,” is the executive producer.

Cast members include Willa Fitzgerald, Bex Taylor-Klaus, John Karna and Connor Weil.
