Mentally disabled teen caged

BAD AXE, Michigan (WEYI) – Michigan police have arrested a couple after finding a mentally challenged man locked in a caged bed in their Huron county home.

A sheriff’s deputy responding to a civil disturbance last week was directed to a bedroom where he found the man.

He was being kept in a caged bed with a door held shut by a bicycle chain.

A 66-year-old man and 65-year-old woman, both occupants of the home, were arrested on felony charges.

The 19-year-old man found in the caged bed, as well as other adults and two children have been removed from the home and are being held by the Department of Human Services.
