WICHITA, Kansas – With the election just days away, local groups are making a final push to get people to get out and vote.
Around 50 volunteers joined the Kansas People’s Action Group this afternoon in an effort to reach out to registered voters in high Latino and African American communities.
The group says they have reached out to nearly 20,000 registered voters with one goal in mind.
“It’s very important that we get everyone out to vote but more so the people who have not voted in the last state election who are the infrequent voters and the ones who can really shift this whole election,” said Carlos Contreras from Kansas People’s Action.
The group says they will continue going door to door until November 4th.
