Four utility poles damaged during copper theft

WICHITA, Kansas – The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Department is investigating another theft of copper wire.

The theft happened between October 15th and October 17th.

Someone cut down four utility poles in the 5400 block of West Zoo Boulevard and took approximately 1,100 feet of copper cable.

The loss of the cable is valued at approximately $10,000 and the damage to the utility poles is estimated to be $2,000.
