WICHITA, Kansas — The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that the sobriety check lane conducted Saturday night in northwest Wichita contacted 346 vehicles.
The check lane was set up at 5555 W. Zoo Boulevard between 11:00 p.m. Saturday night and 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that two of the arrests were for DUI and one arrest was for consuming marijuana while driving through the check lane. Two minors were found in possession of alcohol and three open containers of alcohol were seized.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office makes routine use of sobriety check lanes. This check lane was funded by a Kansas Department of Transportation grant.
