LYNDON, Kansas (AP) -€” The Osage County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of an infant who was found not breathing at a home day care.

Sheriff Laurie Dunn said Thursday that 4-month-old Brody Johnston died Monday in Lyndon on the way to a hospital.

Dunn says Johnston’s family donated his organs, which were used to save the lives of two infants.

An autopsy failed to determine Johnston’s cause of death. The county health department closed the day care for two days during the investigation.
