Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office seizes 1,715 marijuana plants

GREENWOOD COUNTY, Kansas – The Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office took down a large marijuana field Tuesday morning in south central Greenwood County.

The Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Kansas Bureau of Investigations, Kansas Wildlife and Parks, Greenwood County EMS, and a helicopter from the Kansas Highway Patrol.

1,715 marijuana plants were seized and two people were taken into custody.

The operation remains under investigation by the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Bureau of Investigations.
