Man dies after being hit on interstate in Topeka

TOPEKA, Kansas (AP) – Topeka police say a man died after he was hit by a semi-trailer truck on Interstate 70 in western Topeka.

Police say the man was struck about 6:30 a.m. Thursday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further information was immediately available.

Eastbound traffic on the interstate was restricted to one lane for about three hours before the interstate was reopened.
