Two arrested for selling ‘Green Giant Potpourri’ at Salina convenience store

SALINA, Kansas – Salina police arrested the owners of the Pump Mart Convenience store at 1118 North 9th.

Police say the owners, 53-year-old Shobhnaben Mody and 60-year-old Rasikbhia Mody, had sold a package of potpourri labeled, “Green Giant Potpourri” to a confidential informant in mid August.

The package was taken to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation laboratory and tested positive for a banned substance.

A search warrant was executed at the store where cash, illegal potpourri and other drug paraphernalia were seized.

Salina police expect to release more information at a press conference today.
