9:26PM Wish we could say otherwise, but showers are just about done in the KSN viewing area. As we joked earlier on KSN News, it was just about enough to get your car dirty….  And it has left us really muggy tonight! 5:52PM No threat of severe weather–just some nice showers and rumbles of thunder. Some are now moving into the Wichita metro area. We will track them on KSN News at 6 but you can also watch the rain’s progress anytime here on KSN.com.

4:46PM Still tracking really delightful showers and storms–no significant threat of severe weather, just nice rain. We’ll show you who the lucky folks are on KSN at 5, along with a look at your weekend forecast. Radar always at your fingertips here on KSN.com.

3:09PM Showers and storms still along a line from Northeast Kansas all the way out to near Ashland in Southwest Kansas. However, the best rain is in the Northern half of that line, from Lyons, to Salina, to Abilene and Junction City. No indication of severe weather but strongest cells still could have heavy rain, small hail and 40-50mph wind.

1:48PM Showers and storms stretch from Northeastern Kansas, through Salina, all the way to near Dodge City. Most significant are those from Salina back up to Nebraska. No immediate threat of severe weather, but storms may produce heavy rain, small hail and 40-50mph wind. Track the storms with the latest radar right here on KSN.com.

12:52PM Keeping a close eye on a storm just west of Salina, gusty winds up to 50 mph will be possible. Track it here on radar! 

12:29PM Widely scattered thunderstorms will impact south Central Kansas this afternoon. The strongest activity will produce locally heavy rain and gusty winds.

9:01AM Clouds and showers will move out of the region this morning with a return to mostly sunny conditions this afternoon. There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms late this afternoon and evening. High temperatures will reach the lower 90s.

7:06AM A bit unsettled today and tonight with widely scattered showers in the forecast across the state. Most of us will stay dry but be on guard for a shower or storm on this Friday afternoon!

5:52AM Above normal high temps can be expected into next week with highs in the mid to upper 90s. There will also be a small chance for thunderstorms each day, mainly in the afternoons and evenings.

5:19AM Scattered showers with embedded thunderstorms will move east/northeast across northern Kansas, although a few showers may meander into central Kansas. The storms should be neither strong or severe, just some much needed rain!!

4:50AM Very warm August weather can be expected into the Weekend. Scattered thunderstorms will be possible Today and Tonight as chances diminish by Sunday.

3:55AM Showers and storms will continue through the morning for those in the viewing area north of I-70. A stray shower or storm will be possible in Wichita this morning but most will stay dry. Temperatures are starting off in the lower 70s this morning with a few spots in the 60s due to the overnight rain.

3:02AM Widespread showers and storms continue to track northeast into Nebraska this morning. Nothing severe at this time, much of the activity is pushing east into northcentral Kansas this morning.
