Car crashes into school bus near downtown

WICHITA, Kansas – A car collided into a school bus Tuesday morning near downtown Wichita.

It happened just around 8 a.m. near 13th and St. Francis.

According to authorities, the bus was stopped at a railroad crossing when a car crashed into the back.

There were no students on the bus.

The driver of the bus and car were not seriously hurt.

Today is the first full day of classes for Wichita Public Schools.
