Salina woman arrested for false claims towards gas station owner

SALINA, Kansas – A Salina woman is arrested for allegedly falsely reporting a sex crime at a convenience store that as been the target of recent protests.

Salina Police Captain Norton informed KSN that 51-year-old Debra Grant was arrested on Tuesday for making a false report.

Back on July 29th Grant reported that she was inside the Pump Mart convenience store at 1118 North 9th Street when 60-year-old Rasikbhai Maganlal Mody sexually assaulted here.

Captain Norton says that an investigation determined that the assault did not happen.

This is a separate case from the other reports filed by a 29-year-old and a teenage female, which are still valid cases and still under investigation.
