Pot goes up in smoke after Tennessee bust

ALTAMONT, Tennessee (WSMV) – A Grundy County, Tennessee sheriff’s deputy hunting rabbits stumbled onto something else entirely: more than 30,000 marijuana plants.

The plants were doused in diesel and burned in front of the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday.

Community members say this is something they just had to see for themselves.

“We usually check out books, but I’m checking out marijuana burning today,” said librarian Ann Nunley.
