Woman is expected to recover after pinned beneath car

WICHITA, Kansas – Police dispatch confirm that a 42-year-old woman was run over and pinned under a car in the 6900 block of West Taft around 2 p.m. on Saturday.

According to police on the scene, the woman was walking across the street to a store when a person in a Honda SUV backed out of a private drive and struck the female.

Officials said the woman was pinned beneath the car and the needed to be extricated.

The woman was transported to St. Francis Hospital and is expected to recover.
