Hutchinson man killed in collision

HUTCHINSON, Kansas – A Hutchinson man is dead after a collision in Reno County.

It happened Monday afternoon around 4:20 on Highway 50 and Dean Road.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2005 Chrysler driven by a 56-year-old woman ran a stop sign and collided with a motorcycle driven by 33-year-old Michael Nelson of Hutchinson.

Nelson was pronounced dead on the scene.

The woman in the car was not injured.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says Nelson was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
