Wichita woman stabbed at hotel on N. Broadway

WICHITA, Kansas – A 28-year-old woman was beaten up and stabbed at the Mark 8 Hotel at 1130 N. Broadway.

Wichita police said it happened shortly after midnight on Sunday.

The victim said that she was going to visit a friend at the hotel when a female confronted the victim and repeatedly struck her in the face and abdomen.

The victim then went to Walker’s Bar on 220 Commerce where she discovered that she had been stabbed in the abdomen about 30 minutes after the altercation.

The victim was transported to St. Francis in stable condition.

The suspect was described as a black female in her 20’s, 5’3”, about 130 lbs, and wore a white dress with a pattern that the victim was unable to describe.

Officers went to the Mark 8 Hotel, but were unable to find a scene.

Police do not know what type of weapon was used to stab the victim at this time.
