House fire reported in Park City

PARK CITY, Kansas – A fire was reported in Park City around 2:30p.m. on Saturday.

The fire broke out in the backside of the house in the 1600 block of E. Denver.

About 20 firefighters responded to the home.

“Heavy smoke and flames were showing up over the rear, the fire also involved the electric meter on the exterior and it also created a hazard for us us because we had a power line that was involved in the fire,” said Doug Williams, Division Chief of the Sedgwick County Fire Department.

Slight damage was reported to a nearby house.

One cat is still missing from the house.
