Gunshot rattles Denim and Diamonds guests

WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita police responded discharging of a weapon at a club in West Wichita on Thursday at 1:20 a.m.

Lt. Dan East from the Wichita Police Department reported that an employee of Denim and Diamonds Night Club called the police after a 19-year-old shot a gun inside the club, causing a hole in the ceiling.

Police located the suspect and placed him under arrest.

Charges against the suspect include carrying a concealed firearm without a permit, criminal discharge of a weapon, and criminal damage to property.

Lt. East was unable to confirm the reason why the gun was fired in the club.
