Two arrested after trying to steal purse from woman at IHOP

WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita police say they arrested a 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman for aggravated robbery at the IHOP restaurant.

It happened just after 3 a.m. at 515 South Ridge Road.

A 33-year-old woman was waiting on friend to come out of the restaurant.

That is when a 21-year-old man pointed a gun at her asking for her purse.

The woman refused, and the suspect left in a White Dodge Stratus.

Moments later, officers arrested a 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman.

They were booked for aggravated robbery.
