Brownback celebrates Twinkie expansion

EMPORIA, Kansas – The home of the twinkie celebrated a big expansion today in Emporia.

Governor Brownback was on hand for a ribbon cutting at hostess today to celebrate $30 million dollars worth of improvements to the facility, including a new warehouse and automated bake line.

The plant in Emporia was closed down in 2012, but reopened last year.

A Twinkie festival is planned tomorrow in Emporia.
