Wichita, Kansas — Wichita officials want you to ride the bus this week — so they’re making all rides free.

City of Wichita Transit is making all bus rides free from July 14-19, as a way to promote the service. The city hopes that more people will try the service, learn how to use the bus and help the environment. Using public transit means fewer cars on the streets, lowering the harmful ozone produced by vehicle emissions.

For businesses that want their employees to learn more about using the bus, they’re encouraged to schedule a travel training session, by contacting Tonya Bronleewe at tbronleewe@wichita.gov

If you are unable to attend a travel training, click here to view the “How To” travel training video.
