5:15PM Severe storms continue to move into northwest Kansas, greatest threat will be strong winds up to 60 mph.
4:40PM Severe Storm Warning issued for Cheyenne, Rawlins, Sherman, and Thomas counties until 5:45 PM CDT. Penny size hail and gusty winds up to 60 mph are possible.

4:10PM Storms are firing up over northwest Kansas and southwest Nebraska. A Severe Storm Warning has been issued for Cheyenne and Rawlins counties, Kansas and Hitchcock and Dundy counties, NE until 4:45PM.
4:00PM While most of us are looking at partly cloudy skies overhead, we are tracking a few spotty showers in central Kansas. If one makes it into your neck of the woods just expect a brief downpour then conditions to return to normal again. You can track it at home here.
2:45PM Less wind, more clouds, and not as hot this afternoon. Heat indices are on the toasty side though, sitting in the 90s in south central Kansas. 10:00AM Showers and storms have come to an end. We’re looking at partly to mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the 70s this morning… not a bad start to our Sunday! 8:00AM A much cooler air mass will filter in behind another cold front which arrives Monday… until then expect temperatures this afternoon to climb into the upper 80s and low 90s. There is a slight chance to see a stray shower or storm during the day otherwise it’s going to be nice, dry summer-like end to the weekend.
7:00AM Temperatures are starting off on the mild side in the 60s/70s. Overnight showers and storms along a weak, slow moving cold front are winding down in coverage. We’re looking a light to moderate rainfall in a few spots across the state. Keep the umbrella handy just in case!
