NE Wichita house shot several times overnight

WICHITA, Kansas – Police report that shortly after 4 a.m. on Saturday a house in the 2500 block of North Piatt was shot multiple times.

Sgt. John Hoofer of the Wichita Police said that there were six victims inside the house that was shot, but no one was injured.

Hoofer reports that multiple shots hit several cars and the walls of the house.

Damages have not been calculated for the gun shots.

Officers arrested one person on charges of a weapon violation.

Several other suspects have been identified, and police are talking with them for more information.
