PASADENA, California (AP) – Authorities say three people have been shot and killed at a home in Pasadena, California, and a suspect is in custody after shooting at police cars.

Pasadena Fire Department spokeswoman Lisa Derderian says the shooting occurred late Saturday afternoon inside a home in the Los Angeles suburb.

The suspect surrendered and was taken into custody after barricading himself inside the home, shooting at two police cars and exchanging words with authorities who urged him to give up.

The spokeswoman says one person in the home suffered minor injuries.
