Lightning sparks house fires on South Seneca

WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita fire crews say two fires early Thursday morning were caused by lightning.

The two fires were in the 800 and 900 blocks of South Seneca.

The fires started about 2:30 a.m.

It took crews over an hour to get the flames out.

Luckily, no one was injured.

Fire officials estimate the house fire in the 800 block of South Seneca caused $50,000 in damage.
