3i Show kicks off in Dodge City

DODGE CITY, Kansas – It is the first official day for the 3i Show in Dodge City.

It is the 60th year for the show.

It is a celebration of industry implements and irrigation in southwest Kansas.

It started in 1953 and every year except one, the event has been held in Kansas to promote farming, ranching and the agriculture manufacturing industry.

The show officially kicked off with an opening ceremony.

Governor Sam Brownback was here for the event and praised the innovation and jobs this show has produced.

“This show has launched a lot of companies and launched a lot of sales because people from all over the world come in to see what modern technological agriculture can and does do. They see the equipment they like, they buy it, they use it and they buy more of it.”

The governor also commented on all the great wind energy he flew over on the way to the show.
