Missouri Valley Tournament to remain in St. Louis

ST LOUIS, Missouri – Arch Madness will remain Arch Madness. The Missouri Valley men’s basketball tournament will stay in St. Louis through 2018 with an option to keep it there through 2020.

Conference commissioner Doug Elgin said Kansas City’s Sprint Center and the Sears Center in Hoffman Estates, Ill. – a Chicago suburb – also submitted bids.

The Missouri Valley Tournament has been played in St. Louis since 1991.

Wichita State won the championship this past season. It was WSU’s first title ever in St. Louis.

Next year’s Valley Tournament is scheduled for March 5-8 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.
