3i show celebrates 60th anniversary

DODGE CITY, Kansas – This year marks the 60th anniversary for the 3i show, and it has past vendors returning to the Western State Bank Expo Center in Dodge City.

Dodge City has been the location selected for the past 3 years, and is planned to be the permanent location for all future events.

Lawson Products has had a booth at the show for about 30 years, and they’re glad to have settled into one place.

“I think it’s great. I think it’s good to have it in the same location every year,” said Jay Gorman from Lawson Products. “They’ve worked great with the vendors, trying to improve things to make things better.”

“Ever since it moved here, it’s kind of settled in and people know to go every year,” said Steve Aguiar of AKE Safety Equipment. “Everyone knows the 3i show is now in Dodge City.”

Expo Center manager Danielle Crouch said that working with vendors and people has helped improve the smooth the set up process.

“Everybody’s glad to have it in one place,” said Crouch. “It does allow them a little more familiarity with the facility, Dodge City, and Ford County.”

Vendors said that the cement floors keep booths cleaner, and the large outdoor space allows more room for interactive booths.
