Toddler dies in hot car

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A 2-year-old girl has died after being found unresponsive in a car in El Paso, Texas Sunday afternoon.

Emergency responders were initially dispatched to a home just before 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon. When EMS arrived on the scene, they discovered the 2-year-old was unresponsive and transported the toddler to Sierra Providence East with CPR in progress.

The toddler was pronounced dead upon arrival at Sierra Providence East.

El Paso Police Crimes Against Persons Unit was dispatched to the home, where it remained taped off for several hours Sunday afternoon.

At this time, El Paso police has not released the identity of the toddler, or said if her parents will be facing any charges associated with the toddler’s death.
