WICHITA, Kansas – A 39-year-old Wichita woman was arrested Friday evening around the 1100 block of N. Broadway when she began chasing a group of three with large fireworks in hand.

Sgt. John Hoofer of the Wichita Police Department stated that the woman chased the people while the fireworks were lit and sprayed them with sparks.

Hoofer says that the woman knew the group of people and was intentionally trying to burn them.

The woman was booked into jail.

Authorities are unsure if alcohol played a factor in the situation.
