Council chooses new airport food vendor

WICHITA, Kansas – The Wichita City Council made a final decision Tuesday over which food vendor will be allowed at Wichita’s new airport.

There was some controversy over which food vendors will be allowed which caused the council to postpone their decision for several weeks.

The council voted 6-1 to approve MSE Branded Foods from Gainesville, Georgia

MSE Branded Foods was founded in 1987 and specializes in food and beverage operations at small airports similar to Wichita, as well as malls, hospitals, universities and hotels.

MSE’s concepts will include a mixture of local and national brands.

The company will provide a number of food and beverage locations at the new airport.

Proposals include the Old Town Cafe will be located inside the main terminal entrance.

Other offerings include Chick-fil-A, Dunkin’ Donuts, Wichita’s River City Brewing Company, and Air Capital Bar.
