WICHITA, Kansas – Authorities surrounded the Bank of America at 21st and Hillside Monday.

At least four men were arrested after a cell phone was pinged in a Windsor, California murder investigation on I-70.

The murder occurred on June 22nd.

Authorities tracked another ping near Newton on I-135 around 11 a.m.

The car was spotted in Wichita near 45th Street and I-135, and the men were arrested outside the Bank of America a short time later.

“Basically, we had gotten information this morning from pings from cell phones that suspects from a homicide in Windsor, California were eastbound on I-70,” said Trooper Gary Warner, Kansas Highway Patrol.

Four men were arrested, and police are questioning the men now.

“Right now, we don’t have information on where they were from or where they were going. We just have gathered the information from California from cell phones companies,” added Warner.
