WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita police are still looking for a man who robbed a bank Thursday morning.
It happened around 10:30 a.m. at the Fidelity Bank located at 3525 East Harry.
The teller tells police the man walked up and demanded money, and left the bank heading south.
Police are looking for a man wearing a black shirt and black baseball hat. He was armed with a handgun.
Throughout the afternoon, the SWAT team searched three homes in the area of Yale and Roosevelt.
They did not find the suspect.
“We had information that there was a possible suspect ran into a house over here,” said Lt. Walker Andrews, Wichita Police Department.
Residents say the whole ordeal was scary.
“There was SWAT coming up and down the street,” said Nicole Harris, Wichita resident. “My girlfriend said that they searched our house, they went through our attic, they were all on the roof.”
No one was hurt in the bank robbery.
