Marshall presents check to Wichita Children’s Home

WICHITA, Kansas – The Wichita Children’s Home is benefiting from the popularity of WSU basketball coach Gregg Marshall.

Marshall presented a check Tuesday for $15,000.

It was his prize from fans voting him into the Final Four of the Infinity Coaches’ Charity Challenge.

Marshall also signed copies “Winning Angry”.

It is a book about the WSU Men’s Basketball Team.

“It gives me the opportunity to encourage them to read the book, the “Winning Angry” book. If you look in that book, there’s a lot of kids that have overcome and made something of their lives and hopefully to inspire some of these kids to continue their education, get their high school diplomas, college degree and go on make successes of themselves and ultimately help themselves, society and their families.”

Coach Marshall and his wife, Lynn, have both been long-time supporters of the Wichita Children’s Home. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
