Barton County authorities make two more drug arrests

GREAT BEND, Kansas – Barton County authorities on Tuesday made two more drug arrests.

Sheriff’s officers served two arrest warrants in conjunction with the ongoing investigation from last week.

Authorities arrested 28-year-old Kevin Adam Pekarek of Great Bend according to a release by the sheriff’s department.

He faces eight counts including a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property, three counts of child endangerment as well as the possession with intent to sell methamphetamine.

Pekarek is being held in the Barton County Jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond.

Also arrested Tuesday was 26-year-old Stephanie René Crawford of Great Bend.

She faces charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia as well as three counts of child endangerment.

Crawford is also being in held in the Barton County Jail.

Her bond was also set at $100,000.
