WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita police say they took three children into protective custody after finding them living in poor conditions.

A woman first reported her 15-year-old daughter as a runaway on Saturday night. She was later found at someone’s home. The girl told officers she was afraid to go home because she was scared of abuse.

Officers went back to the home, and found her two young siblings, a 4-year-old girl and 7-year-old boy.  All three of the children were taken into police protective custody due to poor living conditions and drug paraphernalia found inside the home.
