Cappelen takes 3rd round lead at Air Capital Classic

WICHITA, Kansas – Carding his second consecutive 5-under-par 65 on Saturday, 24-year-old Sebastian Cappelen from Denmark has a two-shot lead after three rounds of the Air Capital Classic.

The four-time All-American out of Arkansas started the day tied for second behind former K-State Wildcat Aaron Watkins. Cappelen advanced to the top of the leaderboard with three birdies on the back nine at Crestview Country Club.

Several golfers will enter Sunday’s final round within four shots of the lead. Andres Gonzales, who shot a 66 Saturday captured a spot in the final pairing with Cappelen.

Matt Weibring, Rob Oppenheim, Blayne Barber and Sung Joon Park are tied for third at 11 under. Four others trail Cappelen by four shots including Watkins.
