Ex-K-State Wildcat Watkins leading after 2nd round at Air Capital Classic

WICHITA, Kansas – Former K-State golfer Aaron Watkins remains in the lead at the Air Capital Classic after carding a 4-under-par 66 in Friday’s second round.

Currently at eleven under, the 31-year-old made five birdies and one bogey after his opening-round 63 at Crestview Country Club. He finished two shots ahead of Sebastian Cappelen, Sam Saunders and Tom Gillis.

Heading into Saturday’s third round, the 156-player field will be reduced to the sixties.
