WICHITA, Kansas — Can’t decide who to vote for? You are not alone. Mike Pompeo is the current U.S. Congressman and his challenger is former U.S. Congressman from the 4th District, Todd Tiahrt.
An exclusive KSN News Poll, with a margin of error of 4.3%, shows 20% of likely women voters and 12% of likely male voters have not made up their mind.
“It will certainly be interesting to see how the undecided vote plays out,” says political analyst Jeff Jarman. “If you’re in the Tiahrt camp, you feel really good about this poll. You just got into the race a few weeks ago, and you haven’t even really begun to message for the campaign. And you already are within striking distance. I think they probably feel pretty good today with these results.”
Of the undecided voters, Jarman says both camps now have a challenge. They both have to decide just how to capture the “undecided” voters.
“Look, this is a strategy questions and it will be fascinating to watch over the next six weeks,” says Jarman. “Campaign decisions, I’ve not doubt, will be made over the next week.”
