Fire damages McDonald’s restaurant in Hutchinson

HUTCHINSON, Kansas – A fire caused about $15,000 in damage to a Hutchinson McDonald’s.

It broke out Monday just around 10:30 p.m. at the restaurant on East 4th Avenue.

Fire crews arrived to find smoke inside the restaurant and a fryer in the kitchen on fire.

The fire was controlled in about 15 minutes.

Crews were on scene for two hours.

Damage is estimated at $15,000 and was sustained to the fryer and the hood system.

The restaurant was occupied by customers and employees at the time of the fire. No one was injured in the fire.
