City council to consider food concessions for new airport terminal

WICHITA, Kansas – The Wichita City Council will consider approving a lease agreement Tuesday for a new concession operator at Wichita’s Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport.

The airport is set to open in the spring of 2015.

MSE Branded Foods from Gainesville, Georgia submitted the proposal.

The company was found in 1987 and specializes in food and beverage operations at small airports similar to Wichita, as well as malls, hospitals, universities and hotels.

MSE’s concepts will include a mixture of local and national brands.

The company will provide a number of food and beverage locations at the new airport.

Proposals include the Old Town Cafe will be located inside the main terminal entrance.

Other offerings include Chick-fil-A, Dunkin’ Donuts, Wichita’s River City Brewing Company, and Air Capital Bar. Those will be beyond the TSA security checkpoint.
