Shooting in east Wichita leaves one man injured

WICHITA, Kansas – A shooting in east Wichita early Sunday left one man with minor injuries.

Police were called to the 800 block of South Pinecrest and Lincoln, just before 1:30 a.m.

Sgt. Ed Brower with the Wichita Police Department says a fight broke out during a party at the location.

During the altercation, one person pulled out a gun and shot at three people.

One person, a 28-year-old black male, was grazed once in the elbow by a bullet.

EMS arrived at the scene, but the victim refused medical treatment.

Police found a 9mm handgun and casings at the scene.

There was no description of the suspect given and no arrests in this incident have been made.
