Wichita road rage incident leads to shots fired

WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita police say an incident of road rage led to shots being fired by the victim.

It happened Friday night on the Canal Route on I-135.

Police say a 22-year-old man was driving on the Canal Route when he was struck by a Ford with six people inside.

The victim tells Wichita police they were driving erratically and almost ran him off the road. He tells police they hit the rear of his vehicle damaging his license plane.

The victim proceeded to his home in the 4200 block of East Whitney.

He was followed by the suspects who all exited the Ford.

The man ran into his house and retrieved a firearm and fired one round into the ground.

The three men inside the Ford began to leave while three women continued to yell at the victim.

The man fired another shot and the suspects left.
