Riverfest food court money stolen

WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita police are investigating after a bag containing Riverfest food court money was stolen.

The money was for deposit and taken from the Riverfest offices.

The theft was reported to Wichita police on Thursday, and police didn’t say how much money was stolen.

Capt. Doug Nolte says the money was from food court sales between May 30th and June 4th.

Riverfest official told KSN that a little over $3,000 was stolen, but it did not contain material to overall festival results.
