Isaac Brown named WSU Men’s Assistant Basketball Coach

WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita State men’s basketball coach Gregg Marshall announced Thursday that WSU has hired Isaac Brown as its new assistant men’s basketball coach.

Brown recently completed his third season as an assistant coach at Louisiana Tech where he held the position since 2011. He helped lead the Bulldogs to a 29-8 record, which tied for the most victories ever in a a season in program history.

With the 29 wins came a share of the C-USA regular season title in the school’s first year in the league and a runner-up finish in the C-USA Tournament. Louisiana Tech also registered wins against Big 12 runner-up Oklahoma and SEC runner-up Georgia.

Brown joins a WSU team that had a record-breaking 35 wins last season and went to the Final Four in 2013.
He replaces Chris Jans who was recently named head coach at Bowling Green.
