Red Cross fan distribution begins

WICHITA, Kansas – The local chapter of the American Red Cross has begun its distribution of 1,200 free fans.

Those who are vulnerable to high temperatures are encouraged to visit the American Red Cross at 1900 E. Douglas to receive a free fan.

To receive a fan, participants should have a valid Kansas driver’s license and proof cur current address. There is a limit of one fan per household.

“The Red Cross continues to see a high need in the Wichita area for fans during the hot summers,” said Bev Morlan, executive director for the American Red Cross Midway-Kansas Chapter. “We are grateful that our generous donors make this possible.”

The Red Cross will give away 1,200 fans this year, purchased with donations from the public.

The hours are 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., through Friday, June 13th.
